SEPL is based out of Bengaluru, The Capital City of the state of Karnataka in India.

Bangalore and Bengaluru Rural has a tropical savanna climate (Köppen climate classification Aw). Kolar, Tumakuru, Chikkaballapura, Bagalakote, Ramnagar, Mysore and Hassan are some of the districts of Karnataka with similar climatic conditions Bellary and Kodagu are hottest and coolest districts of Karnataka. As per SEPL R&D team survey, the soil is rich and fertile which is naturally gives high yield.

The main occupation in Karantaka was farming before independence and Farmers here are well updated and have adopted modern agriculture techniques but grown with traditional Indian agricultural values.

Methods and practices of agriculture, without using any pesticides, has been passed on to generations with in the families traditionally. Farmers keep a part of the land to compost Manures from Cowdung and leaves which is in practice for generations

Farmers here are very hard working as they believe in the 12th Century Philosopher Basavannas principle Work is Worship

Fruits and Vegetables suitable to grow in the tropical savanna climatic conditions are grown here. So fresh fruits and vegetables from these enriched soil are natural, nutritious, almost organic and free from hazardous pesticides or chemicals.

Fresh vegetables like beetroot, bitter gourd, gherkin, carrot, onions, drumstick, chilly, bottle gourd, snake gourd, ridge gourd, pointed gourd, okra or ladies finger, mushroom, lemon, beans, pumpkin, cucumber, ginger, coconut and fresh fruits like pomegranate, guava, banana, grapes, pomello, jackfruit, mango, papaya, pineapple are largely grown in these fruits and vegetables basket districts.

SEPL procures fresh fruits and vegetables directly from the farmers and farmers associations as we are well connected and hence we have been exporting fresh and natural fruits and vegetables to buyers and importers
